Cooking With Tea Recipe Shrimp Fried Rice with Green Tea

Fried rice is one of those dishes that’s fast and easy and everyone likes.  Feel
free to swap out the shrimp with chicken if seafood is not your thing.  Both are
easy and delicious, and the addition of a tablespoon of healthy and flavorful
Longjing (Dragonwell) green tea gives it a nice little punch of flavor.

You can use tea as you would any
other seasoning to add subtle flavors to ramp up
a dish and give it just that something extra that
makes it special and uniquely yours.
If you don’t have Longjing green tea, you can use
whichever

China green tea you have on hand and
normally use or prefer.
There are two different ways to add the tea-one,
to add with rice to the boiling water, which gives a
light punch of flavor to the finished rice.  Or you
can add it with the onion and garlic and stir fry for
a very subtle herb-like flavor.  Either way is fine, it
just depends on your taste preferences.
